Tideup is a duo composed of Ben Guzman and Noelle Indovino who live in Orlando, Florida—that explains the water obsession. Aside from the name, which is an excellent play on words in my opinion, the music that the two create is awash with high and low tides, synths lap up against vocals and swish and swirl back out.
The pair have several more tracks over at their bandcamp, but my favorite “Beaches” continues in the aquatic theme. Noelle’s voice is divine on the song, swooping up and down in a shiny soprano that sounds as carefree as summer and as appealing as the ocean on a hot day.
