Australia’s Owl Eyes had a sweet, straightforward, driving pop song with “Closure.” Giraffage was having none of that. The San Francisco producer had his own idea of closure, and it’s deep bass, skittering hi-hats, and pitched vocals. There’s still a sweet melody in there, but it’s swimming in molasses.
