Whistling on a song hasn’t sounded this good since the first time I heard Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zero’s “Home.” Now of course, that song almost drives me to acts of violence, but I have a feeling that NONONO’s “Pumpin Blood” won’t come to the same fate. For one, the band describe the rest of their forthcoming debut album as “dark and beat-orientated” which means this track will work in contrast against that.
The track will be out in their Scandinavian home of Sweden this week and will be out in the US and the UK in early summer—a brilliant decision since it is the archetypal sunny day song—and that whistling!
