Josef Salvat - "Hustler"

None

London-based singer Josef Salvat hits us with a delicate ode to the trials and tribulations of a man with “the heart of a hustler playing a dangerous game.” Falling just the right side of twee, Salvat mixes clean-cut, pop-leaning choruses with direct, much darker lyrics, such as the wryly observed opening couplet “It’s not easy on my bed sheets/ It’s not easy on my nerves.” With a couple more really standout lyrics in “Hustler,” and spacious, piano-led production to boot, Joseph Salvat is certainly doing something interesting within the pop format.

“Hustler” is out June 10, and you can check out the slightly raunchy artwork above.
