The first official track from The Great Gatsby soundtrack has dropped, entitled “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)” it’s the unlikely collaboration between Fergie, Q-Tip and GoonRock. Although Fergie does briefly attempt to turn her pop-ready vocals into something more jazz era appropriate, the track quickly turns into standard dance-pop fare, with her usual Black Eyed Peas talk-singing even making an appearance.
Overall this song seems like a good reflection of the movie so far—an attempt to marry old world sensibilities with the realities of 2013. Stream the track below and look for the film in theaters on May 10, while the soundtrack will drop three days before on May 7.
