Sisters Sierra and Bianca Casady of CocoRosie have released their second single in support of their fifth album Tales Of A GrassWidow. “After the Afterlife” feels like the kind of luxuriating one would engage in after finally shuffling off this mortal coil—the freedom of spiritual existence.
It’s interesting too, since the first single they released was called “Gravedigress” and felt fraught with weight. This song is carried by a light piano and flashes of sharp electronic noise, suggesting that which side of the afterlife they’ll end up on is still undetermined.
