Moby, Blink-182's Tom DeLonge, "Weird Al" and others audition for the Postal Service in new Funny Or Die video

You’ve probably never stopped to wonder what the Postal Service might have sounded like had Ben Gibbard never taken part in the project. Because let’s face it, that’s a weird fucking thing to think about. The world is a weird place though, one filled with weirdos like the folks over at Funny or Die who dared to play out that exact curiosity.

In this fictitious video, Jimmy Tamborello and Dave from Sub Pop, an arrogant cock music executive played by comedian Jon Daly, conduct a 2002 audition to find a lead singer for the newly formed Postal Service. After combing Myspace and Friendster, Dave confidently rolls out a hodgepodge of poorly suited options including an angry shirtless Moby, “Weird Al,” Blink-182’s Tom Delonge and Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses. Hilarity ensues.
