Bayou, a London based singer and producer, mightily impressed in September of last year with “Cherry Cola,” a colourful piece of lovingly crafted bedroom pop, and now he has returned with an equally excellent offering. “Forever Deluxe” is a warm, funky jam, and although Hari Ashurst’s vocals remain composed throughout (compared to Autre Ne Veut’s impassioned wailing on “Play By Play” he is positively whispering), it perfectly suits the gentle nostalgia of the song.
