The way you interpret a song sometimes depends on when you hear it. Play this on a Saturday night. The chopping guitar in the production is enough to catch your attention, and the song does a great job of finding that sometimes elusive sweet spot between dark/interesting and upbeat/accessible. It’s something the Scandinavians do well, so it’s no surprise that Beatrice hails from Stockholm, Sweden. Check out the “It’s Over” video above, and look out for Beatrice’s debut EP, It’s Over, on March 24.

Says Beatrice: “I’d like to be perceived as someone who’s real, and passionate about what I do. But I’d want to be the badass daughter of Jackie Brown. I think it’s gonna take me some living experience to get to that level of fearlessness or badassness, but I’m working on it”.
