Beach House's New Year Video Shows Time in Studio and Lots of Cat Footage

1.

Sometimes the best way to bring in a new year is to take time to look back. Beach House‘s new home video does just that. They released this short new clip (about six minutes long) that captures some moments during their time in the studio in Texas, where they recorded Bloom. Unlike a lot of behind-the-scenes videos, this is a gorgeous little movie documenting some intimate moments and also including some cat footage, which is always a plus.

Here is a video we made using footage from our recording session at Sonic Ranch Studios, Tornillo, Texas. It’s more of a home video thing, not a music video…….we just thought these moments and the memories they involve fit this song. SUPER SPECIAL thanks to our wonderful assistant engineer for the session Manuel Calderon (the guy with the tequila), who filmed all the time lapses and a lot of the studio footage.
