So, you want to work in the music industry? Who doesn’t? The music industry has a cool, sexy appeal and you have to be willing to get your hands dirty if you want to make it in “the biz.” It should not come as a surprise that there are thousands of people scouring the internet for music job listings, so you will have to work hard to make sure you stand out from the crowd. The first thing to remember while attempting to get your career started is that no job in this industry is too small. Yes, in this industry your college degree does make you perfectly qualified to answer phones and make copies-- whether you like it or not. The most important thing is to get your foot in the door; once you are there you can begin plotting your takeover. We decided to compile a list of jobs to help you start your job search.
If you are still in school take advantage of your student status and apply for as many internships as possible. Experience is the currency that will get you a full time job post-graduation and will help put you on the path you want to be on.
