San Fermin - "Sonsick"

1.

For fans of orchestral pop that takes a page from the Dirty Projectors and St. Vincent, Brooklyn-based newcomers San Fermin provide a nice little surprise with debut single “Sonsick.” The brainchild of composer Ellis Ludwig-Leone, San Fermin’s sound is impressive in scope, wrapping layers of warm bass and brass around the voices of singers Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe (of indie-pop group Lucius). Simultaneously anxious and celebratory, “Sonsick” is a promising glimpse of San Fermin’s self-titled debut album, due out February 2013.
