When we shared the tracklist for the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino’s forthcoming movie, Django Unchained, the names James Brown and 2pac must’ve raised some eyebrows. But, as proven by Hologram 2pac, anything is possible. Today, the track “by” the two deceased artists, titled “Unchained (The Payback/Untouchable),” has surfaced.
Crafted by 2pac’s engineer, Claudio Cueni, the song is a mash-up in the truest sense, taking the hook from ‘Pac’s “Untouchable” and blending it with Brown’s “The Payback.” Listen to the anthemic “Unchained (The Payback/Untouchable)” below, and pray for a James Brown hologram so we can see ‘Pac and James Brown perform this together.
