Winter is fucking depressing, and while you might feel like putting on something flannel and embracing the cold months with dark liquor and hushed acoustic cabin music,  there are times when you need to escape. Santa Monica’s Cayucas’ surfy singles “Swimsuit” and “Cayucas” will bring  you out of that hibernation with bright melodies and finger-snap-inducing beats that move like some kind of blend between the ’60s, Jack Johnson, and modern indie. Sounds unlikely, but it all comes together beautifully.
