In the hands of British producer Ambassadeurs, the anthemic electro-pop of Irish duo Young Wonder takes on a quality of warmth, no less soaring but more disjoint, effected vocals sounding something like floating ghosts in the speakers. Skittering percussion, floaty synths, and an enveloping bassline recall the territory Purity Ring has mined to great effect these past two years, with enough restraint to differentiate it, forming a perfect complement to the heavily edited singing of Rachel Koeman.
