While most are still mourning the break-up of Jelena, the who’s who of the music industry overcame their grief just in time for the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards Sunday night in Frankfurt Germany. Alicia Keys took the stage to perform her two hits “New Day” and “Girl on Fire,” the latter appropriately accompanied by a ring of fire overhead.
Rounding out the EMA performance highlights, bands Muse and No Doubt each took turns rocking the stage. Led by frontman Matthew Bellamy outfitted in LCD sunglasses, Muse put on a very futuristic performance of “Madness”, while No Doubt’s “Looking Hot” brought the high energy show the band’s known for.
