Not sure if this can be considered an official video – there’s a lot of going on, primarily seeing how Major Lazer (the character, not the band) is constructed, but there’s a lot of random lyrics flying across the screen. Flipping a sample from Johnny Osbourne’s “Mr. Marshall,” this new Major Lazer track is a great example of how the reggae sound not only influenced the EDM styles of today, but how it can work really well over some serious dubstep. I won’t even attempt to understand how much input Diplo and crew had when a don like Flux Pavilion is on the track (with additional production credits going to Schlachthofbronx), because it ultimately doesn’t even matter. Big, big track, out now on Mad Decent.
