Death Grips isn’t for everyone, and part of the reason is the abrasive, chaotic backdrop. When put into that context, Stefan Burnett’s delivery sounds more like punk rock screaming than raw raps. 42 Ghosts puts those high-impact vocals in a different setting, mashing them with grimy Wu-Tang-esque beats. It works incredibly well.
