Tonight’s premiere of Saturday Night Live’s 38th season saw many changes. For one, Kristin Wiig and Andy Samberg are no longer permanent cast members. One thing that hasn’t changed, however, is their choice of talented musicians, and tonight, SNL brought onto the stage Frank Ocean at Studio 8H.
Performing a shortened version of “Pyramids” (with an extended guitar solo), as well as a stunning and moving rendition of “Thinkin’ About You” with a bit of help from John Mayer on the guitar, Mister Ocean proved that he’s a true performer to audience members and viewers at home alike.
