With “King City,” Swim Deep quickly became a band to watch out for. They’ve been quiet for a few months, but they’re back with a new single. This is their first since signing with Chess Club Records, and it was recorded “in a mini beach paradise within the studio, inflatable toys were optional.” It’s got a bright, euphoric feel to it, but it’s not exactly “beachy,” considering it’s got that touch of moodiness that seems to only be conjured up in England.
