While many were focused more on tapes by Lil Wayne, Gunplay, and whomever dropped Labor Day treats, Talib Kweli dropped his mixtape with Z-Trip, Attack The Block. Fans of Kweli’s conscious flows will be all over this, and Trip is such a capable DJ, things like the title track (which finds Kweli spitting over dubstep and other un-hip-hop beats) don’t sound so out of place. This tape is jam-packed, with Black Thought, Mac Miller, Ab-Soul, Skyzoo, Posdnous, Killer Mike, Styles P and many more being featured somewhere on this 18-track opus (which also includes beats from Oh No, 9th Wonder, Boi 1nda and Don Cannon).
