After a few singles, Dom McLennon drops of his new mixtape Sandy Shore Motel. As mentioned before, McLennon first came to our attention as a stand out in our Questlove remix contest (and, to take a little credit as matchmaker, contest winners The Wyld show up on Sandy Shore). This latest leg in the emcee’s journey paints the portrait of young talent developing his aesthetic, figuring out what works and what does not. Sandy Shore certainly isn’t perfect, but it shows potential being polished–a concept we afford little merit or time in the daily flood of new music.
