Antony and the Johnsons‘ Nabil-directed video for “Cut The World” starts off looking like a romantic comedy. With Willem Dafoe and his female coworker staring out windows longingly and having awkward office conversation, you expect them to eventually just give in to their feelings and start making out over some orgasmic string music. Or something like that.
And then Willem Dafoe’s neck gets cut open.
