Onra is a man of many talents, and his release of the EP Deep in the Night serves to reveal another of his numerous facets. Continuing on with a similar funky sound he fleshed out on the album Long Distance, songs like “Somewhere (Deep in the Night)” and “L.O.V.E.” make it difficult to remember the man who brought us two entire albums comprised of Asian music samples. Deep in the Night also serves to mark Onra’s transition over to the record label Fool’s Gold.
