We enjoyed The Big Pink‘s album “Future This,” but the bigger lead singles unfortunately relegated the remainder of the songs to filler status. Opening their catalogue to producers and artists such as d’Eon, Araabmuzik, Forest Swords and King Krule has created an exciting EP from the ashes of an album that many will have already forgotten about. Future This has been given a much needed drop-kick back into the spotlight as each guest snatches their designated track and goes sprinting off on wildly varying directions, creating an overall wonderfully eclectic collection.
While we have already heard a number of these tracks (most notably the Araabmuzik and Danny Brown versions) the EP collects them and offers them up as free downloads via the player below. Personal favourites are d’Eon’s swirling paint-strokes on “77” and King Krule’s icy cool, reserved production on “Hit The Ground (Superman)”.
