Foxes burst onto our radar with the tribally-tinged anthem “Youth” just before the end of last year. Since then, she’s been prepping her Warrior EP, due out this summer. “Let Go For Tonight” is going to be on it, and Foxes has let loose a demo of the track that must be very close to done – it’s polished and powerful in its current state and I don’t see all that much improvement to be made.
It’s the first track she’s released since “Youth” that matches its euphoric highs, although here the instrumentals veer towards the baroque rather than the previous’ synths and affected drums. Foxes is the latest in a long string of indie divas, but if she keeps releasing songs like this she will have no trouble distinguishing herself from the pack.
