Courtney Love has lost rights to Kurt Cobain‘s name, likeness and appearance. Kurt’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, now has control over these rights.
The change stems from a loan Courtney took out… from Frances’ trust fund. It was no small loan either—Courtney took out $2.75 million from Frances’ account and transferred it to End of Music LLC, the company that Courtney managed and the company that made profits off of Kurt’s publicity rights. Until Courtney pays back the loan, Frances will control the publicity rights.
