If you were a reader back in the deep dark winter of ’85 2010 (big shout out if you were), and you have a particularly good memory, you may recall a mysterious French band called La Femme who caught our attention with the lo-fi surf rock stylings of “Sur La Planche.” Well they’re back, and looking as aloofly attractive as only French people can, with a new track (and EP) entitled “Paris 2012,” along with some truly arresting visuals. Part ‘A Clockwork Orange’, part the Romain Gavras directed video for Justice’s “Stress“, the clip was directed by the band themselves, and is a perfect accompaniment to the tracks’ pulse-raising, slightly sinister garage rock vibe.
