It’s no secret that Kendrick Lamar has been spending time in the studio with Dr. Dre, but when it comes to Dre, you can never get your hopes up. This Monday morning Dre and Kendrick came through, and now we can finally hear the result of their work with “The Recipe.” The track has some silky production elements with a chunky beat to give it some body, and Dre obviously got some help with Kendrick on his rhymes. It’s cool to finally hear these two together, but after tracks like “Cartoon and Cereal,” this one doesn’t have much of an impact.
