Kendrick Lamar Signs With Interscope & Aftermath

1.

The expected news is finally here: Kendrick Lamar has been signed to a major label deal. The young Compton rapper solidified the rumors that his deal would have something to do with Dr. Dre by inking his name to a joint venture deal between Aftermath and Interscope, while including the indie imprint that got him started, Top Dawg Entertainment.

Under the deal Interscope, Aftermath and TDE will jointly release his upcoming Good Kid in a Mad CityĀ album, which already has whipped up a frenzy of anticipation. Additionally, his Black Hippy collaborators are included in the deal and any forthcoming albums or projects from Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul or Jay Rock will be released by Interscope and Top Dawg.
