How do you promote an artist like Willis Earl Beal? In the age of social media, Willis isn’t even on Facebook. Up until now, he’s been completely self-contained, promoting his own music through flyers (like, on paper) and rarely performing live. His lo-fi, soulful sound caught on and got the attention of XL Recordings, but seeing his next steps is going to be very interesting.
