If you’re a fan of Danny Brown, chances are you’ll like his Bruiser Brigade partner Dopehead. Dopehead’s a little less unhinged, but at times he’s got that same yelled delivery and high impact cadence. You can hear it clearly on “Jooky.” I had the track playing the the background and I had to stop what I was doing to check that I wasn’t listening to Danny himself. With “Keys,” Dopehead gets his storytelling on and proves he can bring things down a notch. Together, all three songs make me ashamed that I didn’t check out his mixtape Plaid Palm Trees until now. Luckily, he’s re-releasing it on on iTunes, and these three cuts will be the bonus tracks.
