Cloud Nothings - "No Sentiment"

1.

Cloud Nothings never really had a trademark sound. While always on point, they often got lost in the mix of lazy-sounding mid-fi indie rock that plays like it may have been made in Brooklyn (It wasn’t. They’re from Cleveland.) But with “No Sentiment,” they’re on something new. It starts off almost sounding like a less powerful version of a heavy metal song that falls in some blurry area between grunge, punk, metal, and indie. This brash intro gives way to a crisp, catchy chorus that’s more on a pop rock tip.

There’s a lot of potentially confusing things going on, but you’ve gotta love some Confusion. All in all, I’m really into track. Attack On Memory is due out January 24th.
