CYMBALS are a London based four-piece who, on the evidence of “Intense Kids”, have a mastery of the wistful, slightly wonky pop song. As well as crisp, simple drums and sparkly synths, there are undeniable shades of Kele Okereke (lead singer of Bloc Party) in some of the regretful semi-spoken vocals. Definitely in a good way.
