I’m currently living in Paris, France (shoutout to Paris, Illinois though), but besides the vibrant dance music scene, I can’t really name any French artists beyond Sebastien Tellier, Air, and of course the influential and widely respected Serge Gainsbourg. Yeah I know, I should culture more, but whatever, bro, culture’s for losers. Anyway, whilst Serge may have been dead for twenty years, his influence lives on in many ways, including through his daughter, Charlotte.
“Paradisco” is a slinky and, as the name suggests, disco indebted track written and produced by Beck, featuring wistful lyrics and a funky, pulsating beat.
