New mixtape from Wale. I haven’t been keeping up with him as much as I used to since he joined MMG, but after a quick perusal of this tape it seems heavily slanted to pre-debut Wale: go-go influenced hip-hop with a lot of personal revelations and genuinely smart stuff scattered throughout. Wale used to be one of my favorites after hearing The Mixtape About Nothing, I’m excited to jump into this one and see if he’s still got it.
