I’d like to run a quick experiment using Best Coast as the test subject. On Tuesday we shared visuals for the song “Our Deal”. Your response was so favorable that the video has already landed in P&P’s “Popular Posts” section. Now I can’t help but wonder why this post meant so much to so many of you. Was it the artist? Song? Video? Celebrity director and cameos?
Whatever the reason, I’m going to capitalize on your euphoria and strike while the iron’s hot by supplying another hit of Best Coast. According to the band’s site, “How They Want Me To Be” is meant to serve as a snack to tide fans over until their second album is ready for release. Bethany drafts a nice note to fans, which you can read here. A dark cloud seems to be hanging over both the message and the song however. I guess musicians are people too, we can’t expect them to always be happy.
