I wonder how musicians feel when other musicians cover their material. Like for example, last Saturday I belted out a duet of Bonnie Raitt’s “Something To Talk About” at a karaoke bar. Chances are my rendition would have made her puke/cry, but in this scenario my guess is the gents of Vampire Weekend would find enjoyment in the acoustic liberties Ryan Adams has taken with his cover of “Mansard Roof”.
The feeling is completely different, but very Adams, and the finger picking gets especially entertaining around the 0:55 mark. He’s posted this one to his Facebook page, give it a view here.
