The rapper who brought us “Douchebag” is back, and he’s two for two. In the track he says, “…if I sound like Drake, Cudi, and Wiz combined…” – he basically read my mind, except I’d throw in Big Sean too. It’s one thing to be able to spit, but to get across personality and style like those guys do is a much harder feat, and Skizzy Mars seems to have that figured out. The song is essentially a synopsis of who I am as a rapper, addressing some of the criticisms I’ve received early on and some of my goals in the rap game. It’s called “Profound” because I feel like that word best sums up my situation.
