Illa Scorsese - "Rude (Produced by Zed's Dead)"

Hip-hop meets dubstep. It’s not the first time this has happened. For a while, it seemed like this combination of genres would be one of the next big trends in the US, but so far not many artists are getting it right. Sam Adams had that whole dubstep party tape, but most of us couldn’t even get past the cover art. A lot of American rappers are simply overpowered by the noisy, chaotic nature of dubstep beats. UK rappers have been doing this kind of shit for years, no problem. Maybe it’s the accent.

But this track right here – this works. Ambassador Beats has teamed up with VA rapper Illa Scorsese for a dubstep collabo called 21 Dub St. and this track “Rude” is pretty nasty. Zed’s Dead‘s sinister production works perfectly alongside Illa’s bars. Check out the track below and if you like what you hear, find more info about the project here.

The mixtape features 8 tracks that showcase Illa’s impeccable lyricism alongside wobbly basslines and heavy drops. 21 Dub St. features 3 original tracks from Damn You Mongolians, Slick Werk and Paul David as well as remixes of popular tracks from producers- Netsky, Zeds Dead, Bassnectar and Magnetic Man.
