Philly based rap group Ground Up breaks things down real simple for this latest track called “Daps”. Their mixtape Up Late will be dropping April 5th. Don Cannon is hosting, Pigeons and Planes and GMAD are sponsoring. It’s got the P&P stamp of approval, so definitely look out for that.
Ground Up blends a classic hip-hop simplicity with a new school crispiness. A lot of hip-hop these days is so hyper – filled with excited synths and spastic hi-hats, but producer Bij Lincs brings back a smoothness that’s been missing lately, and emcees Azar and Malakai match the vibe perfectly. Just check out “Daps”. It’s dope, simple as that.
