Damn, with the internet and all, things move so quickly these days. All the better for me, since I have no patience. It was just a little over a month ago that we (by “we” I mean “I”) got our (my) first taste of Dean and Ravo. The rapper/singer duo crafted two joints, “Walkin’ Around” and “End of the Week”, that struck with an infectiousness. They are the kind of songs that get stuck in your head after only half a listen and sit there for weeks, popping up unfailingly every time your thoughts go vacant. Most of these genre bending hip-hop acts rely heavily on samples, but with a singer built into the group, Dean and Ravo can cook up their own choruses and so far, the results have been fresh.
