Every time I talk about The Wild I mention that they’re from New Zealand. Not this time… ugh, rats. Well, that shouldn’t matter. The music speaks for itself. This trio mixes indie rock and hip-hop organically and they do it well. There’s a grittiness about The Wild‘s sound that makes it feel more natural than the indie-inspired hip-hop that relies on samples. This one sounds a lot like their first single, “Revolution“, but I loved that, so I’m not mad. Check out/download “Phoenix” below.
Phoenix is a song about the hardships of keeping in touch with ones self & Life whilst living in a fast paced society. we wrote this song at the begining of the year, it was cool, Brandon freestyled that chorus on the spot.
