I have to admit, when Arcade Fire‘s The Suburbs came out, I was a little disappointed. As a long time Arcade Fire fan, I’m constantly comparing everything they do to Funeral, which holds a high spot on my Albums Of The Decade list. It’s like when your first born child makes straight A’s, becomes the captain of the high school sports team, goes on to become a doctor and then the ensuing offspring just kind of flounder around in their own waste, sometimes making clicking sounds. The more I listen to it, the more I realize that this kid, er, album, has a lot to offer.
