Radical Face - "Welcome Home, Son" and "Doorways"

1.

I was on The Hype Machine*, seeing who was beating P&P in the charts today. People are liking that new Wale, but there was a track above it that I had never heard – Radical Face’s “Welcome Home, Son”. Like a good competitor does, I scoped out my opponent’s arsenal. I did a little research (I Googled it/scratched my balls/poured another glass of wine), and found a nice post on Radical Face at The Music Ninja. It’s really good music. If you can’t beat them, join them, right?

Radical Face has elements of folk, but it’s also a little out there. Think Elliott Smith and Animal Collective. Now imagine that wide gap in between them. Somewhere in that gap, Radical Face sits under a flickering halogen lightbulb, gentle but explosive.

*If you aren’t already, follow P&P on The Hype Machine here. You can stream the songs posted and use the hearts (<3’s) to let me know what you like.
