Normally I’d call this a “Loose Ends” post, since it consists of four songs that have been sitting on my desktop begging to be posted. Instead, I wanted the focus of this post to be on the picture above, which has also been sitting on my desktop begging to be posted. I love the picture, partially from an artistic standpoint and partially from the standpoint of a guy that’s always had a thing for Lindsay Lohan. Now some music…

The first one is a song from Spring Offensive, a band from Oxford that just announced the release of their album Pull Us Apart. These guys place a heavy emphasis on lyrics. This one’s about the band’s near break-up.

Next up is from rapper/oddball/colorful character Johnny Polygon off his mixtape Rebel Without Applause. Johnny Polygon doesn’t really fit in, and he embraces that fact. The tape features Kid Cudi, and you and download the whole thing for free here.

Conner Youngblood is a 20 year old from Dallas, Texas. He describes his music as the type of ambient pop music you’d hear in a dramatic/emotional movie soundtrack. Sounds about right. You can listen to more of his music out here.

Last we’ve got one from School Of Seven Bells from their newest album Disconnect From Desire. It’s dreamy indie pop that’s more kick to it than most music you’d describe as dreamy. You can check out more here.
