Since I just posted the new Flo-Rida song, I’m itching to redeem myself. This is an excellent cover of one of my favorite songs of the year so far. Two guys, collectively working under the name The Ice Tray take on the colossal “Excuses”, originally by The Morning Benders. As the song strolls on, they layer more improvised sounds over what starts with a single ukulele being strummed in what looks like a rustic attic. The end result is a beautiful and heartwarming rendition that you’d be a twat to ignore. Thanks to two of my favorite blogs, We All Want Someone and PMA for the heads up. Highly recommended.
