I saw this highly recommended over at Pretty Much Amazing, so I had to give it a listen. Never heard of Diamond Rings before, but this song is so welcoming it’s hard not to listen to. It’s got a cheap sounding drum kit keeping the beat while an acoustic guitar is strummed and vocals are slightly lazily laid down in the form of a pop-blasted melody. When it all comes together, it works. Be careful of the video though. Only check it if you’ve got an open mind and/or like Lou Reed’s Transformer.
