What are the kidz listening to?

Hello motherfuckers, hey, hi, how ya doin? Here are some things I’ve learned about the kidz these days. Read this if you want to be cool.

1) Defying stereotypes is cool. If you’re a hip-hop head, throw around hipster names like MGMT or Animal Collective, and buy some skinny jeans and/or thick framed glasses. You don’t need to really like it. You will immediately be cooler than your friend who only listens to Dipset. Along the same lines, if you’re already a full blown hipster, then listen to some Dipset.

2) Unless a song is an instant classic, the remix is ALWAYS better. I know, I know. It’s not actually true, but just go along with it. The kids fucking love remixes. Especially if there’s an obscure DJ name attached to it. For example: Animal Collective – Summertime Clothes (DJ Capzulez Remix). If that were indeed a new remix, I bet the kidz would deepthroat that shit and try to swallow it whole.

3) When it hits the radio, it’s not as cool. It’s an ancient rule, but it still holds true. A lesser known artist will be everyone’s favorite, then a song hits the radio. Suddenly half a million angry cockmouth kidz make it their number one priority to let people know that they think [enter name here] is pure garbage. Remember when people were calling So Far Gone a classic release?

Okay, that’s enough rules for now. Keep those in mind and you can increase your status among friends and acquaintances. Within 2 months you will get at least 10% more friends, 25% more respect, and 50% more head. Thank me later!

Then again, you could just be yourself and listen to what you like… loser.
