Just saw this new Yo La Tengo at MFR and figured that you guys could use a break from all the new hip hop. YLT’s album Popular Songs will be out September 8th on Matador Records. I can’t lie, Yo La Tengo has never done anything for me. They are one of those bands that have been around for years and music snobs will give you funny looks when you tell them you don’t like it. Then they’ll tell you why the music is so important and that your favorite indie band wouldn’t exist without them. Yo La Tengo isn’t bad at all, but there’s nothing there I can really grab onto.
That being said, this is a pretty cool song.
